It’s that time of the year! If you’re a part of the Salesforce ecosystem – as a developer/ admin/ architect/ business user/ customer or in any other role, it doesn’t get any bigger than this – Dreamforce 2016 is less than a week away! I had a very busy and satisfying Dreamforce 2015 where I presented 3 sessions and spent some quality time learning with my peers, colleagues & friends from all over the world.
And this year, it’s going to be even more busier and crazier it seems! Every year, I promise to be more organised and better prepared for Dreamforce but things usually turn out the other way around. Here’s my chaotic schedule for DF’16 this year and I hope to see you/ bump into you at some of my sessions/ engagements.
- Building App Cloud Mobile Extensions with Swift
This is an encore of the session I presented last year (co-incidentally in the same room!) and one of the few iOS/ Swift centric sessions at the conference. So, if you are an iOS/ Swift enthusiast, this will be worth attending!
2. Lightning Strikes: Embrace the change in your org
This will be the first-time ever at Dreamforce when I’ll be presenting a session in the Admin Zone (aka the Admin Meadow) so I’m really looking forward to it. This session is on the last day of the conference and an attempt to cover Lightning migration in a simplistic manner sans all the heavy duty stuff and complex jargon.
3. MVP-Led Circles of Success
As a newly minted Salesforce MVP, I’m really looking forward to driving the popular ‘Circles of Success’ sessions at Dreamforce 2016. If you are a Salesforce customer or a prospect, this is a fantastic opportunity to hear from the people who’ve been there, done that and can show you how it’s done! And the best part, it all happens as a closely knit group over lunch. You can sign up for a ‘MVP-Lead Circles of Success’ here.
4. Developer Forest – Volunteer
While I’m still awaiting the final schedule, I’ll be volunteering in DevZone for multiple shifts helping out on ‘Lightning and ‘Mobile’. It was a great experience last year discussing some really interesting customer problems and use cases and I’m geared up for it this year as well.
5. Admin Meadow – Volunteer
I’ll be volunteering in the Admin Meadow zone on Thursday 6th October from 8-10 AM as a subject matter expert on ‘Lightning for Admins’. Looking forward to meeting fellow admins, Admin Meadow volunteers and MVPs there.
6. Brain Date
This is the first-ever Dreamforce where the concept of ‘Brain Dates’ has been introduced. The idea essentially is that experts provide offers related to their competencies and if you’ve any requirements which match those offers, you can setup a brain date to meet and brainstorm further.

7. Partner Lodge

Apart from the above, I’ll be available at the Metacube booth in the Partner Lodge at Park Central hotel every day. It’s been a great experience seeing how Salesforce has re-invented the Partner Lodge experience each year for Dreamforce and I’m looking forward to what they’ve in store for DF’16!
Of course, there are a bunch of keynotes and MVP events which I’m looking forward to attending. I’m not much of a party animal but I do look forward to spending some quality time with my friends from within the developer community, fellow MVPs and speakers.
See you at Dreamforce 2016!!
