If I were to say that year 2016 has been ‘busy’, it would be a gross understatement and I hope to write about it in the coming weeks.
A couple of weeks back, I was asked to help out at the Salesforce Advantage Tour in Singapore. Coincidentally, I was scheduled to be on a business trip to Singapore during the same week so the timing couldn’t have been any better!
The best part about the Force.com platform is that it’s continuously being refined and improved. As a Force.com developer, you need to be on your toes and constantly learning to stay relevant. I was pleased to know that I would be involved in educating developers on Salesforce DX – a framework that promises to shorten the deployment lifecycle and bring CI/ CD capabilities to the world of Salesforce developers. As somebody with significant automation experience, I believe this is a better late than never enhancement that will redefine Salesforce development in the years to come.
I had some interesting discussions with developers who were keen to get a taste of Salesforce DX and an early peek into how it would change their day to day development habits.
Salesforce + Community = Best of Both Worlds!
The best part about Salesforce events – whether it’s Dreamforce, World Tours or Advantage Tours is that the Salesforce team collaborates closely with the community members to make a cohesive team which brings out the best of both worlds.
The objective of involving community members isn’t cheerleading for Salesforce in front of customers and partners, rather it focuses on leveraging the community’s varied experience to fill the gaps where Salesforce needs external help.
It was a gruelling trip with hardly any spare time but what matters in the end is that everything went as per plan, the event was successful and everybody went back with a smile on their faces!
Thank you Salesforce for this wonderful opportunity! Hoping to continue to do my bit for future events as well!
