Like all good things, ng-conf 2015 is now a wrap! The Jaipur Hackathon team hosted the ng-conf ‘Extended’ edition for Jaipur yesterday (Tuesday 10th March) and it turned out to be a memorable event with some fun sessions and interesting discussions.
We’d a packed house – with a mix of AngularJS newbies, hobbyists and pros. It was also heartening to have folks from backbone.js and Sencha background to do some interesting comparisons – talk about testing a developer’s loyalty 🙂
All in all, we gathered there to shower some AngularJS love and ng-conf extended provided an ideal setting.
Keynote
We started off with the ng-conf keynote. It’s an amazing statistic that for a conference which is just 1-year old, ng-conf extended was held across more than 29 countries and 150 cities including our very own ‘Pink City’
The keynote set the tone for the other interesting sessions that were to follow.
Guest Speaker from Russia – Maxim Syabro
Timing is everything – fortunately, we timed the event just right so we had an AngularJS expert from Russia in town. He presented on a very interesting topic – Building isolated components with BEM and AngularJS. The Q&A is always a good measure of how good a session is and in Maxim case, it actually outdid his presentation time.
Mobile, Mobile, Mobile!
This was followed by an introductory session on the Ionic framework by yours truly. I’ve closely followed the evolution of Ionic ever since it was launched and it’s fascinating to see how the framework is maturing as we inch closer to a public release.
With enough talking done – we then spent rest of the evening munching away at some delicious snacks before calling it a day.
A special thanks to our friends at Auriga IT – Divye and Ronak for being very generous hosts and helping make ng-conf extended Jaipur edition a resounding success!
We’ll see you again at ng-conf 2016!
